Fields for the e-invoice

Fields an e-invoice needs.

The three field collections on this page make sure that your form holds the right details for an e-invoice from the start: allowed codes instead of free text, validated bank details instead of typos, and tax amounts the form calculates on its own.

An e-invoice is an invoice as a structured file that a program can read. The European standard EN 16931 defines which details it contains. Many of these details must come from a code list, a defined list of allowed values such as the currency codes. The field collections are paid products. They will soon be available in the shop on invoicePress.de, and until then you can get them on request.

3 · Reliable entry
a sound basis for the e-invoice
How the fields help: the visitor fills in the form, the field checks or calculates, and the entry holds reliable details.

EN16931 fields

Gravity Forms EN16931 Fields brings 17 e-invoice code lists into your forms as ready-made choices, for example country codes, currencies and units of measure. You no longer build lists by hand. It also adds four field types that store the scheme identifier along with the value, as the standard requires for many identifiers.

SEPA fields

SEPA Fields for Gravity Forms brings three fields for bank details: IBAN, BIC and the creditor reference under ISO 11649, a payment reference with check digits. Each field validates the input on submission, for the IBAN for example the check digits and the country format. That way you store valid bank details and not just text that looks like them.

Tax fields (TAXES)

TAXES Fields for Gravity Forms brings price fields with VAT. Each price field carries a tax code with a VAT rate and a VAT category, and the form calculates net, tax and gross while the visitor is still choosing. When the entry is saved, your server recalculates everything.

More tools for e-invoicing.

On invoicePress.de you will find more tools for e-invoices: viewers that display an e-invoice in readable form, validators that check whether an e-invoice follows the rules, and a REST API that lets your own programs use these functions. The viewer is free on wordpress.org.
