E-invoice generators

The e-invoice straight from the entry.

An e-invoice is an invoice as a structured file that a program can read. The European standard EN 16931 defines which details it contains. With Gravity Forms, the form plugin for WordPress, there are two routes to get there, and both plugins are paid products from the invoicePress.de shop.

The first route is eInvoice Generator for Gravity Forms. It creates the invoice PDF and the e-invoice directly from the form entry, lays it out with an included print layout and does not need Gravity PDF. The second route is eInvoice Generator for Gravity PDF. It turns the invoice that Gravity PDF already creates for you into an e-invoice, and your template stays as it is.

Both plugins write ZUGFeRD or Factur-X, which is a PDF with an embedded e-invoice. They also write the XRechnung, the German standard for invoices to public authorities, and Peppol BIS Billing 3.0, the invoice format of the European Peppol network. That way you can choose the right format for each recipient.

More tools for e-invoicing.

On invoicePress.de you will find more tools for e-invoices: viewers that display an e-invoice in readable form, validators that check whether an e-invoice follows the rules, and a REST API that lets your own programs use these functions. The viewer is free on wordpress.org.
